Detailed

On 12 May 2026 the Cyprus Administrative Court partly allowed joined appeals 14/2021, 1387/2021 and 1395/2021 by Omonia Football Ltd, APOEL Football (Public) Ltd and Hellenic Technical Enterprises Ltd concerning the Commissioner’s decisions of 6 September 2021. It upheld the substantive GDPR findings but annulled the challenged monetary sanctions for disproportionate allocation: Omonia’s EUR 40,000, the EUR 10,000 portion challenged by APOEL out of its total EUR 40,000, and Hellenic’s EUR 25,000. The remaining unchallenged EUR 30,000 of APOEL’s original fine is outside this annulment. Each appellant received EUR 650 plus VAT in costs, not a privacy fine. The platform exposed football fans’ names, identity numbers and fan-card photographs. The judgment does not establish that all three fines remain fully payable.
