Asociația Asistenței Rutiere A-Car Vaslui – €2,029 Fine (Romania, 2021)

After a report concerning children’s images on the association’s website, A-Car Vaslui failed to supply investigation information. ANSPDCP first issued a warning and a remediation plan requiring the information within five working days of communication. Because the association did not comply with that remediation plan, ANSPDCP imposed RON 10,000 under Article 14(1) and (5)(e) of Law 190/2018, in connection with Article 58(1)(a) and (e) GDPR. The earlier warning and remediation process arose under Article 13 of that national law. This is an actual imposed fine following non-compliance with a remediation plan, not merely a proposed or conditional amount. The children’s-image complaint triggered the investigation and is not described as a separate established image-processing infringement. The 10000 RON fine is converted at the ECB publication-date reference rate on 2021-08-25 of RON 4.929 per EUR 1, rounded to EUR 2029. The conversion date is not the decision date.
